12th Raising day

ATMA Foundation formally came into being on 8th May 2006. The occasion of the 12th Raising Day was celebrated on 14th May 2017, from 4 pm – 8 pm at Vivekodayam School Auditorium, Thrissur.

District Collector Dr A Kowsigan IAS inaugurated the Raising Day Function. Prior to the function, Ms Parvathy G, Trustee & Volunteer, gave a presentation on the achievements of ATMA Foundation over the past 11 years. Sri C K Suresh, in his presidential address, expressed his happiness that ATMA Foundation could reach out to more than 2 lakh families in 11 years, through 1265 documented programmes.  He congratulated the volunteer team at ATMA whose dedicated service has made this possible. In the inaugural address, District Collector Dr A Kowsigan IAS appreciated the efforts of ATMA Foundation in different aspects of community service. He said that ATMA Foundation could be a potential NGO partner for various Government initiatives.

The raising day celebration was further embellished by the performances of music students and teachers of ATMA Kalakshetram. 75 students participated in the various programmes. Smt Nirmala vamanan Namboodiri , Senior Music teacher of ATMA Kalakshetram, gave a beautiful rendering of a popular carnatic kriti, which was specifically appreciated by the Chief Guest Dr Kowsigan.

Certificates were awarded to those music students who had attended the Annual Performance Evaluation in May 2017, and trophies were given to all participants of the various programmes.

The event concluded with a simple dinner at 8 pm.
