The following competitions are being held by ATMA Foundation as part of WE Care for Women Empowerment, an initiative towards a Female Friendly Thrissur. The decision of the organising committee is final and binding in all matters regarding this event. All entries to the competition is liable to be used by ATMA Foundation in its various events with due acknowledgement.


• Chart paper will be provided at the venue. All other items to be brought by the participant
• Writing pads recommended

Essay Writing

Essays may be in English or Malayalam
• Foolscap paper will be provided at the venue
• Maximum word limit – 1500 words
• Writing pads recommended

Street Play

• The plays may be in either Malayalam or English and may be a maximum of 12 minutes in duration
• Entries will be judged based on –
• Idea/Content
• Execution
• Size of audience present
• Before performance, all necessary permissions to be obtained by the participants. ATMA Foundation is not responsible for any problems arising due to the failure to do so.
• Participants are expected to inform the committee about location and timing of the play at least three days in advance and get the approval of the committee before proceeding. The decision of the committee is final and binding.
• The last date for performance is 22nd September, 2016

Short Film

• The film should have been shot after Jan 1st, 2016 and must contain full credits.
• The film may be in either Malayalam or English and must have a maximum duration of 5 minutes
• The film must be submitted in CD/DVD format, along with the director’s full bio at ATMA Foundation office by the 22nd of September, 2015 either directly or via post. Entries received after this will not be entertained.
• The best entry will be selected by a relevant jury and the jury’s decision will be final
• ATMA Foundation reserves the right to use the film, in whole or in part for any of its activities with due acknowledgement of the creators.

All entries will be displayed at the conference.
